The Robins announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning.
The 21-year-old is a product of the well-respected Brighton & Hove Albion academy system. Bance made her senior debut for The Seagulls in a Women’s League Cup group stage match against London Bees in the 2019/2020 season. The youngster has gone on to make close to 50 appearances for Brighton & Hove Albion in all competitions.
Bance spent last season on loan at SWPL 1 club Rangers. She won the Scottish Gas Scottish Women’s Cup and Sky Sports Cup with the Ibrox-based club. The player will be hoping to build on those successes at Bristol City.
After joining Bristol City, Bance said “I am excited to be here and develop as a player and a person and can’t wait to get started. I am looking to push on, build up minutes and be part of a good team environment.
“The facilities are amazing, and it should be brilliant to start at Southampton, it will be a competitive game but hopefully we can go and get the edge.
“I am slightly more defensive minded, but I like the freedom to go forward and if there is a choice to shoot on the edge of the box, I might want to have a go.”
Bance is Bristol City’s sixth signing of the summer transfer window.
