The Robins announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.
The 24-year-old stopper has signed a two-year deal at Ashton Gate.
Mutch has spent the last three years playing her football in the SWPL 1 with Motherwell after joining the club from Hibernian. In her time with Well, Mutch has helped the club put in some solid performances in the Scottish top flight. The player was a member of a Motherwell side that recorded a top half of the table finish for the very first time last season.
On the international stage, Mutch has represented Scotland at various youth levels up to and including Under-23 level. She is still awaiting her senior debut for The Tartan Army.
After signing on with Bristol City, Mutch said “I’m buzzing and I can’t wait to get started and meet all the girls.
“I’m ready for a new challenge and I’m looking forward to getting going.
“There are potentially three promotion spaces this season, so I think that’s something we’ll be aiming for.”
Mutch becomes Bristol City’s first signing of the summer transfer window. She will compete with Fran Bentley for the first-choice goalkeeping jersey this season.
