Broja’s late header earns Burnley draw at Bournemouth | OneFootball

Armando Broja rose high in the 90th minute to head home a late equaliser, helping Burnley end their seven-game losing streak with a 1-1 draw at Bournemouth's Vitality Stadium. 

The first half passed without a single shot on target, despite Bournemouth enjoying the bulk of possession. The visitors’ organised defensive shape made it difficult for Andoni Iraola’s side to create clear chances.

The breakthrough came midway through the second half when Antoine Semenyo capitalised on a defensive slip to curl a superb finish into the bottom corner, putting Bournemouth ahead. 

Burnley’s persistence paid off in the final moments. Marcus Edwards delivered a clever short-corner routine, swinging in a cross from the right, which Broja met with a perfectly timed header past Djordje Petrovic to salvage a crucial point.

Bournemouth pushed for a late winner, but Burnley’s defence held firm. The draw provides some relief for Scott Parker’s side, who can take confidence from halting their losing run, while Bournemouth remain without a league win in eight games.

This result leaves the Cherries 14th in the table, while the Clarets stay in relegation zone, five points from safety.
