Bromley extend home unbeaten run in promotion push

Bromley missed the chance to extend their lead at the top of League Two to seven points after being held to a hard-fought 0-0 draw with Oldham Athletic.

The result means the Ravens have now drawn four of their last five league matches, leaving second-placed Cambridge United five points behind with a game in hand.

However, the game extended Bromley’s unbeaten home run this season to 18 league matches. That total equals the fifth-longest home unbeaten run in a single League Two season since 2004/05, matching Doncaster Rovers (2016/17) and Lincoln City (2018/19).

The record remains Shrewsbury Town’s 23 matches in 2011/12, followed by Swindon Town’s 21 in the same season, while Cheltenham Town (2012/13) and Salford City (2020/21) each reached 20.

With five home games still to play, Bromley could yet challenge Shrewsbury’s record of a full League Two season unbeaten at home.

Despite the recent draws, Bromley remain firmly on course for promotion. They sit seven points above fourth-placed Swindon Town with 11 games remaining and have suffered just four defeats this season, the fewest of any EFL club.

They are also one of only three teams across England’s top four tiers yet to lose in 2026, alongside Lincoln City and Manchester United.

However, Bromley’s tendency to share the points has limited their advantage at the top. Their 12 draws are the third-most in League Two, behind Chesterfield (14) and Oldham (13).
