Telstar stunned Fortuna Sittard 4-1 at the Fortuna Sittard Stadion, climbing from 17th to 16th in the Eredivisie.

Patrick Brouwer headed in to open the scoring in the fifth minute. Moments later, Nökkvi Þórisson finished a fast break from Jeff Hardeveld's pass (7.).

Kaj Sierhuis pulled one back from close range (22.). The striker then struck the bar before the interval and later hit the post as the hosts pushed.

After the restart, Brouwer swept in his second from Sem van Duijn's pass (50.). Danny Bakker then turned in following a corner to stretch the lead (65.).

Ronald Koeman saved smartly to thwart Yassin Oukili and Sierhuis as the visitors held firm. Telstar were clinical, hitting 10 shots on target from 15 attempts. Fortuna controlled possession at 58.3% and tallied 21 attempts but only four on target.

Danny Buijs made a double change at the break, introducing Neraysho Kasanwirjo and Oukili, yet the momentum shifted away from the hosts as Telstar struck twice after the restart.
