There were two wins, one draw and one defeat for the Eintracht players involved in Friday evening’s international matches.
Having got on the scoresheet in the last two Bundesliga games against Bochum and Stuttgart, Nathaniel Brown also opened his account for the Germany U21 team on Friday night. The 21-year-old scored the second goal in a 3-0 win over Denmark in Aachen before being subbed off in the 75th minute. U21 debutant Nnamdi Collins also started and played 82 minutes, while Ansgar Knauff came on in the 65th minute.
There was also a debut, although no win, for Aurèle Amenda in the Switzerland senior team. The 21-year-old centre-back played the entirety of the 1-1 draw against Serbia in the UEFA Nations League (Group A4) in Zürich.
In Group A1, Igor Matanovic and Croatia went down to a late 1-0 defeat away to Scotland on Matchday 5. The Eintracht striker was an unused substitute in Glasgow.
Fenyö victorious with Hungary again
For the second time in the space of a few days, Noah Fenyö played 90 minutes for Hungary U19s, who made it two wins from two games in the race for European Championship qualification. The 1-0 victory over hosts Andorra means that Hungary – like Germany, incidentally – are now guaranteed one of the top two places in Group 2, which ensures participation in the second stage of qualifying next spring.
