Birmingham City will be hoping to kick on and distance themselves further from the relegation places when the new Championship campaign begins.
In what turned out to be a difficult season for the Blues, Lee Bowyer will be looking to assemble a squad that is able to progress in the second tier.
In what has been a slow moving window across the EFL, Birmingham have certainly followed that trend.
Here, we take a look at the latest headlines involving Birmingham as the summer transfer window continues…
Rico Browne
Rico Browne has penned down his first professional contract with the Blues, coming as a big boost for Birmingham as he attracted interest from the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham.
Browne has emerged as one of six academy players to agree terms at the Championship club ahead of the new campaign.
Featuring 30 times for the U18s and U23s last season, Browne even embarked on trial periods for the afoemehrtioned Premier League clubs, however, his immediate future is at St Andrews.

Przemyslaw Placheta
Birmingham have been credited with an interest in Norwich City winger Przemyslaw Placheta, as per a report from Polish outlet Meczyki.
However a further update from Poland suggests that Greek Super League side AEK Athens are now casting their eyes over the 24-year-old, challenging the Blues to his signature.
Plcaheta featured just 12 times in the Premier League last time out, playing a total of 505 minutes, with six of these appearances coming from the very start.
If not part of Dean Smith’s plans, then Placheta could be an excellent player for the Blues to agree a deal for.
Fran Villalba
Fran Villalba has left Birmingham on a permanent basis, agreeing a deal to join Sporting Gijon, ending a three-year stint with the Blues.
Arriving from Valencia back in the summer of 2019, the midfielder managed just 17 appearances for the Championship outfit, netting a single goal in that time.
Joining Sporting Gijon on loan at the start of the last campaign, by January it had been confirmed that the Spanish outfit had taken their option to make the deal permanent.
