Bruma ended an injury-hit campaign by getting minutes in Benfica's final match, nearly three months after his previous appearance. Named in José Mourinho's squad to face Estoril, the former Portugal international finally stepped back on the pitch.
According to Glorioso 1904, it was probably his final Benfica appearance, with the winger among those the hierarchy intend to move on this summer.
His year was turbulent. He ruptured his Achilles tendon in pre-season, returned earlier than expected, then a muscle injury kept him out for a further three months.
The meeting with Ian Cathro's side was certainly his farewell to Benfica supporters. Before that, he had last featured on 2 February against Alverca, when Anísio Cabral hit the winner in a 2-1 victory.
In 2025/26 he played only three competitive matches for Benfica after that Achilles recovery. He produced no direct goal contributions in the 19 minutes he was on the pitch, and is valued at five million euros.
