Bruno Fernandes has had a brilliant season for Manchester United and media speculation continues to link him with a move away from Old Trafford. The Portuguese midfielder could make history this season by providing the most assists in a single Premier League season. He is just two assists away from the record.

Naturally, his form and consistency has attracted interest from some of the top clubs.

According to Sky Germany, Turkish heavyweights Galatasaray have identified Man United captain Fernandes as their absolute “dream target” for the upcoming window.

Galatasaray eyeing move for Bruno Fernandes

The Istanbul outfit is reportedly desperate to initiate formal contact with the player’s camp, hoping to pull off one of the biggest European transfer heists of the entire year.

To be completely fair to Galatasaray, their immense admiration for the Portuguese magnifico is absolutely nothing new.

The Turkish giants actually tried their luck by attempting to tempt him away from Old Trafford back in January of this year, but those initial efforts were quickly and firmly rebuffed.

However, after watching Fernandes put together yet another stunning individual campaign, racking up a massive 28 goal involvements across all competitions even at 33 years old, their desire to bring him to Rams Park has only intensified.

They clearly view him as the ultimate marquee signing required to elevate their squad to the next tier of European competition.

Prying Fernandes away from the red half of Manchester right now feels like a completely impossible mission.

Portuguese star remain crucial to Man United

As we saw recently during United’s thrilling 3-2 victory over Liverpool, the captain remains the undisputed, beating heart of this squad.

Having just helped interim boss Michael Carrick successfully steer the club back into the promised land of the Champions League, Fernandes is currently riding a massive emotional high.

This is a player who recently turned his back on astronomical sums of money, including a heavily reported £200 million mega-offer from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal last summer, simply because of his profound, unshakeable connection to the Man United badge.

If he wasn’t willing to cash out for unbelievable Saudi riches, it is incredibly difficult to imagine him suddenly abandoning his current project for a move to the Turkish Süper Lig, especially just as magical Champions League nights are returning to Old Trafford.
