Bruno Fernandes was spotted limping when departing Old Trafford following last night’s 4-0 win over Sabah.
The skipper was on the scoresheet in Manchester United’s Champions League opener, taking his tally up to four goals and an assist in his four appearances this season.

However, fans are now sweating over Fernandes’ injury status and whether he sustained a problem during Thursday evening’s affairs.
Despite Michael Carrick opting to fully rest the likes of Diogo Dalot and Marcus Rashford, as well as withdrawing Bryan Mbeumo, Youri Tielemans, Kobbie Mainoo and Patrick Dorgu before the full-time whistle, the captain played the full 90 minutes of the clash.
The second half was far from a physically-demanding one for United, with the side practically in cruise control from the off thanks to their first-half three-goal lead. Yet, Fernandes still saw out the encounter.

Manchester City already have one advantage over United for Sunday’s derby due to the fact that their UCL tie was played on Tuesday night, giving them an extra 48 hours to recover and begin preparations for the weekend.
United were at home yesterday and are on Sunday, meaning there’s no added fatigue from travel, but that’s still significantly less time to rest before returning to training.
Fernandes, who turned 32 on Tuesday, walked gingerly out of the stadium, with supporters also noting that he appeared to be alongside the club doctor.
The midfield talisman is renowned for his fitness and availability, having only missed five games through injury since signing for United in January 2020.
It goes without saying that Fernandes being absent for matchweek four would be potentially the biggest blow Carrick could be hit with.
