Bruno Henrique, one of Flamengo’s longest-serving players, says he is undecided on whether he will retire at the club, but is clear he will settle in Rio after he stops playing. His comments come on the eve of Flamengo v Corinthians in the Supercopa do Brasil.
"More than the trophies, the connection I have with the Nation and with Flamengo is striking. It makes me reflect on many things. From the moment I arrived and felt the supporters' affection at the airport, it gave me a very good feeling. I have lived many glories and titles and I am very grateful," Bruno Henrique said to GE.
"What I can say is that my future is in Rio, I will live in Rio de Janeiro, I have no doubts. A whole life here, my children are settled, Flamengo supporters. That is what I can say (laughs)."
The forward joined Flamengo in 2019. Wearing number 27, he heads into his seventh season in 2026 looking to add to his legacy.
With Bruno Henrique available, Flamengo face Corinthians in the Supercopa do Brasil on Sunday. Kick-off is 16:00 Brasília time at Estádio Mané Garrincha in the Distrito Federal.
