Bruno Pivetti, who led Flamengo’s under-20s to the Intercontinental title in 2025, has been appointed Náutico head coach for the Série B run-in. According to Coluna Do Fla, his arrival was confirmed on Friday.

He takes over after Hélio and Guilherme dos Anjos left the club on Wednesday. Náutico host Sport on Saturday at Estádio dos Aflitos in a derby that forms part of the league campaign.

Pivetti has signed a six-month deal that includes a clause allowing termination after three months. That timeline aligns with the end of the current Série B season.

He was presented at the Wilson Campos training centre on Friday, then took charge of his first session with the squad. The derby will mark his third stint in charge of Náutico. He left Flamengo in May 2026 and had been without a club until this return.

Across his previous two spells he managed 14 matches, recording four wins, seven draws and three defeats. His return comes with little preparation time.

Náutico sit 14th on 38 points, eight clear of the relegation zone, with nine rounds remaining. He is charged with guiding them through the final rounds and seeking a response in the competition.
