Roma midfielder Bryan Cristante could end up facing a punishment for an episode that took place during the recent match with Juventus.
According to calciomercato.com, Cristante risks a one-match ban for uttering a blasphemy, clearly captured by the cameras, in the 75th minute of Roma-Juventus, which ended 1-1.
It is impossible to misunderstand the words, but everything will depend on the federal prosecutor’s office, which has the power to ask the sports judge to take the images into consideration before releasing a verdict.
During this season it has already happened to Stefano Turati, Frosinone goalkeeper, last August. Turati had “been clearly framed in the television footage while uttering a blasphemous expression, audible and identifiable without a margin of reasonable doubt”, as per the device issued after the first match of the league.
