Bukayo Saka ruled out of Manchester City v Arsenal with Achilles injury

Bukayo Saka has been ruled out of Arsenal’s Premier League trip to Manchester City on Sunday at 17:30 due to an Achilles problem. According to L'Équipe, Mikel Arteta confirmed the winger will not be involved.
The England international has not featured for nearly a month and remains troubled by the tendon issue.
Arteta had said on Tuesday, on the eve of the Champions League quarter-final second leg against Sporting that finished 0-0, that the injury was progressing and he hoped it would be a matter of days rather than weeks. On Friday he stated Saka is out for the 33rd round fixture.
Saka, 24, last played in the 0-2 defeat to Manchester City on 22 March in the League Cup. He then missed Premier League losses to Southampton and Bournemouth and the Champions League quarter-final against Sporting.
Another Arsenal player is a doubt, Noni Madueke. He went off on 63 minutes against Sporting on Wednesday, replaced by 16-year-old Max Dowman. Arteta said there is another training session and it did not initially appear serious, so he hopes Madueke could be available, but it remains a case of wait and see.
Arsenal lead the league by six points, although City have a game in hand and could cut the gap with a home win.
