Forward Bukayo Saka has signed a new five-year contract with Arsenal, extending his stay at the club until 2031, according to the BBC.
The agreement will see Saka earn over £300,000 a week, making him the club’s highest-paid player.
His previous deal, signed in 2023, was due to expire in 2027, prompting Arsenal to secure the long-term future of the England international.
Arsenal have also recently committed William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly to long-term deals.
Saka graduated from Arsenal’s famous Hale End Academy. He made his first-team debut in the UEFA Europa League clash against Vorskla Poltava in November, 2018.
He has made 277 appearances across all competitions, registering 77 goals and 78 assists and has won the Arsenal’s Player of the Season award twice.
His contract extension comes as a major boost for Arsenal in their quest to win major titles this season.
The Gunners sit top of the Premier League table, three points clear of Manchester City, whom they will also face in the Carabao Cup final on March 22.
Arsenal finished top of the standings in the UEFA Champions League league phase and have progressed to the FA Cup fifth round where they will face Mansfield Town.
Mikel Arteta’s side are in Premier League action on Wednesday evening at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
