Bundesliga Side Put Leeds United Linked Striker On Radar | OneFootball

Leeds United target Ermedin Demirovic has come onto Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt’s radar as they search for a new striker.

Demirovic made the switch to Stuttgart from Bundesliga rivals Augsburg in 2024, putting pen to paper on a four-year deal.

The 28-year-old enjoyed a productive league campaign last season, featuring 25 times in the Bundesliga, including 17 starts, and contributing 12 goals and three assists.

Despite being sidelined for three months after suffering an injury in early October last year, Demirovic still managed to post impressive numbers for Stuttgart.

Leeds have been following the striker for some time and were especially keen last summer, when the Yorkshire club were looking for cover for Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The Whites have been interested in the Bosnian international this summer as well, amid suggestions that Stuttgart are open to a sale.

However, the Yorkshire club saw their hopes damaged after Demirovic confirmed he intends to remain with Stuttgart beyond this summer.

Despite the striker’s preference, it is by no mean certain he will continue at Stuttgart and there is now further interest in the Leeds target from within the Bundesliga.

According to German daily Bild, Demirovic has appeared on Eintracht Frankfurt’s radar, as the Bundesliga side look for a striker.

The Bosnian international was already on the German club’s wish list two years ago, but then opted for a move from Augsburg to Stuttgart rather than a move to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Eintracht Frankfurt want to sign Nottingham Forest‘s Arnaud Kalimuendo following his loan spell, however the costs of the deal have put that on the back-burner.

All eyes are now on whether Eintracht Frankfurt do make a firm move for Demirovic and whether that pushes Leeds into action.

If Leeds go into the season relying on Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha, it could be seen as a risk, even if they stayed fit for most of last season.
