At the back, Josip Stanisic impressed for Bayern, completing 88 per cent of his passes, adding an assist and winning six of eight duels. Ozan Kabak scored for Hoffenheim and won nine duels, Grant Wahl paired 90 per cent passing with seven successful duels and a goal for St Pauli, and Leipzig captain David Raum made four key passes and an assist against Borussia Dortmund.

In midfield, Christian Eriksen dictated for Wolfsburg with 92 per cent passing and an assist, though it did not yield a point. Michael Olise drove Bayern’s attack against Eintracht Frankfurt with 1.11 xA, five key passes and 0.35 xG.

Said El Mala tormented Hoffenheim for Köln with a goal and an assist. Leipzig’s Christoph Baumgartner struck both goals against Dortmund and Yan Diomande supplied a fine assist after troubling the defence throughout.

Up front, Harry Kane sealed Bayern’s win over Eintracht Frankfurt with a brace.
