Danilho Doekhi underpinned Union’s resilience, winning all nine duels. Borussia Dortmund’s Luca Reggiani impressed, taking six of seven duels, completing 88% of his passes and scoring his first senior goal. RB Leipzig’s Willi Orban won 14 aerial duels and hit the inside of the post in the narrow defeat to Stuttgart.

Dortmund’s Julian Ryerson was a creative spark, delivering six key passes and supplying the assist for their second goal. Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Kevin Stöger, starting in Rocco Reitz’s absence, curled in a superb first-half free-kick and remained a major threat with three shots and a key pass.

Freiburg’s Johan Manzambi brought energy, winning 12 duels and completing 85% of his passes with two key passes. Mainz’s Paul Nebel contributed both on the scoresheet and in build-up play, producing three key passes. Stuttgart’s Chris Führich, operating at attacking left wing-back, excelled with his passing and set up the match-winning goal.

Stuttgart’s Deniz Undav proved decisive, scoring the winner against Leipzig and adding two successful dribbles plus a key pass. Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi used his pace to open the scoring and troubled the defence throughout.
