Burnley have announced they have completed the signing of Aaron Ramsey from Aston Villa.
The 20-year-old has penned a five-year contract at Turf Moor, keeping him at the club until 2028.
Ramsey is an academy graduate of Villa who had been a regular for the club’s Under-21s, scoring 15 goals in 30 appearances.
The youngster spent the first half of the 2022-23 campaign on loan at Norwich City, posting 20 Championship appearances.
He then went to Middlesbrough for the remainder of the season, where he netted five goals in 11 games.
The midfielder said: “I’m absolutely buzzing. I have been waiting to be a Burnley player for a while now and I’m really happy it’s all officially done now. I can’t wait to get started.
“I can’t wipe my smile off my face. When you come to a new club you want the lads to welcome you in and everyone here has done that straight away.
“It’s been really easy to settle – everyone has been amazing.”
Burnley made an immediate return to the Premier League after suffering relegation to the second tier at the end of the 2021-22 season.
Under Vincent Kompany, they collected 101 points to win the Championship title last term.
The Clarets have made several smart acquisitions this summer, including Jordan Beyer, Zeki Amdouni and James Trafford.
They completed the signing of Sander Berge from Sheffield United earlier this month and have now confirmed Ramsey’s arrival.
