Burnley are looking to strengthen in midfield with the loan signing of James Ward-Prowse according to reports.

The midfielder has been frozen out at West Ham United where he still has a contract until the end of next season.

Ward-Prowse has played just six games in all competitions this season with his last appearance coming against Crystal Palace in September back when Graham Potter was the manager. Since then he has been described as 'exiled' since the appointment of Nuno Espírito Santo – a situation that some have interpreted as a fallout of his ill-fated loan spell at Nottingham Forest.

Journalists Dharmesh Sheth and Chris Reidy of Sky Sports News are reporting that the Clarets are looking to bring in the former Southampton man especially after Josh Cullen's ACL injury.
