Fiorentina have set their sights on Burnley star Luca Koleosho to strengthen their wing options under new manager Fabio Grosso.

Burnley endured a disastrous campaign, suffering relegation to the Championship once again and also parting ways with manager Scott Parker by mutual consent before the end of the season.

The Clarets are in danger of losing high-profile players in the upcoming summer transfer window, and among the star players set to leave Turf Moor is Koleosho.

The 21-year-old attacker spent the second half of the season on loan at Paris FC, and it has been suggested that the French outfit are ‘planning to trigger’ the option-to-buy clause included in his contract.

The Italy international scored three goals and contributed one assist in 16 Ligue 1 appearances and became an integral part of Antoine Kombouare’s side.

However, it now seems Koleosho’s future could lie in Italy, as, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Fiorentina have shown interest in him regarding a potential summer move, following impressive displays with the Azzurri in their recent international friendlies.

Fiorentina have appointed Grosso as their new manager for next season and Koleosho is considered a viable option to strengthen the attack under the new head coach.

Now is not the first time the 21-year-old has caught the eye of Italian clubs this term, as Monza and Genoa are also keeping tabs on the Burnley forward.

Burnley will push for promotion back to the Premier League next season, as they have done in recent campaigns, but may need to part ways with some high-profile players to balance the books.

The Clarets are yet to appoint a new manager to replace Parker, with Mike Jackson currently serving as interim manager.

Koleosho arrived at Burnley from Espanyol in 2023 and his current contract with the club runs until 2029, but if Paris FC choose to activate the option-to-buy clause, Fiorentina will have to find an alternative.

It remains to be seen whether Koleosho will join the French side or prefer a move to his homeland, but at the moment, the Burnley starlet has no shortage of suitors, with everything pointing to a Turf Moor exit.
