However, according to Sky Sports News that is no longer an option with Burnley turning their attention to other targets including Steve Cooper and Rob Edwards, who was recently dismissed by Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Bellamy has been a part of the Burnley coaching staff previously, serving as an assistant to Vincent Kompany before the Belgian took the Bayern Munich job.

The Lancashire side will be hoping their next manager can keep them in the Premier League with Burnley yo-yoing between the two divisions since the 2021/22 season.
