An up-and-coming attacker is causing a stir on the transfer market. In addition to Bayern, another Bundesliga giant is said to have put out feelers for him and is one step ahead of Munich.

Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern have apparently set their sights on a common target: Fisnik Asllani from TSG Hoffenheim. According to BILD , both clubs have been looking closely at the 23-year-old, although BVB’s interest appears to be more concrete.

Asllani, who only returned to TSG a few months ago after a one-year loan from Elversberg, has impressed with his strong performances this season. The Kosovan international has already scored seven goals in the Bundesliga and has also shone in the cup. According to BILD, Dortmund have been tracking the striker for some time.

Affordable clause makes Asslani attractive

Asllani’s contract at Hoffenheim reportedly contains an exit clause, which is not only active, but also financially feasible. Although Munich’s interest is still there – Sky recently confirmed this – the name Asllani is not currently a top priority for the German record champions. As a result, no concrete steps have yet been taken to sign him.

Dortmund, on the other hand, could soon get down to business. The striker is seen as a potential successor to Serhou Guirassy if the latter leaves the club. Co-coach Moritz Volz told t-online.de: „Fisnik is a great guy and a really cool kicker. It’s fun to see that not only in the games, but also in training.“

It remains to be seen whether the youngster will leave Hoffenheim this winter. Volz emphasized: „The first thing for him now is to fully establish himself in Bundesliga and international soccer. Then we’ll see.“
