BVB Signs Peniel Poba for the U19 Team

Born in February 2009, Poba has spent his entire youth career at Borussia Mönchengladbach. Most recently, he played for the Foals’ U17 team. Last year, Poba won the German B-Junior Championship with Gladbach.

Thomas Broich, sporting director of the youth academy, says: “Peniel is a very courageous player who often seeks out one-on-one situations. This is exactly the kind of quality we want to nurture and develop here. We’re very pleased that he’s chosen us, and we’re confident that he’ll thrive in our environment.”
