The Black & Yellows started with the same line-up as in last week's 7-0 win over SSV Rhade and dominated from the start in stormy autumn weather. An attempted clearance by Köln after the first corner of the game landed at the feet of Rita Schumacher, who curled the ball from the left corner of the box towards the far post. Ronja Leubner was well placed to head home and give her side an early 1-0 lead in the second minute. Just ten minutes after her goal, Leubner won the ball in the centre and played a delicate through ball to Rita Schumacher, who made it 2-0 for Borussia from 11 metres out (12).

It was a furious start, because just three minutes later, Ann-Sophie Vogel won a tackle on the left side and Jenske Steenwijk, who had advanced, converted her cross in the 15th minute to make it 3-0. It was her first goal of the season, and the celebrations were appropriately exuberant. After Ronja Leubner hit the crossbar in the 22nd minute, the visitors threatened the Dortmund goal in the 28th and 35th minutes. A free kick from the edge of the box whizzed wide of Laura van der Laan's goal by just a few centimetres. Almost on the half-time whistle, it was Schumacher again who, after good work from Ronja Leubner, finished beautifully into the top right corner from just outside the box to make it 4-0 at the break.

The visitors defended more aggressively in the second half, but were unable to find a way to lock up Rita Schumacher, who was a constant menace. In the 69th minute, she crossed to Dana Marquardt: the striker headed the ball back across goal, and it bounced off the inside post and into the back of the net to open up a 5-0 lead. Just five minutes later, substitute Jasmin Jabbes also had reason to celebrate when she scored from 16 metres to make it 6-0. Shortly before the end of the match, BVB had further excellent scoring opportunities through Schumacher, Nora Willeke and Jabbes. In the end, however, the scoreboard at the Rote Erde read 6-0. The BVB women have won all five of their home games in this Regionalliga season and have scored 33 goals while conceding zero.

The next match is away at FSV Gütersloh on Sunday (2 November). Kick-off is at 14:00 CET on the artificial turf pitch at the Tönnies Arena in Rheda-Wiedenbrück. Pluto TV will broadcast the match live and free of charge as usual.
