Last night, Tuesday, PSG suffered a heavy defeat in front of their home crowd at the Parc des Princes, falling 2-1 to the Bavarian giants Bayern Munich on matchday four of the 2025/2026 UEFA Champions League group stage.
The Parisian club, the defending champions, failed to reaffirm their European supremacy and remain stuck at 9 points, sitting in third place.
On the other hand, Bayern Munich continues its remarkable run with a fourth consecutive victory, taking the top spot in their group with 12 points, edging out Arsenal on goal difference.
This clash had the flavor of revenge for the German side, who managed to settle the score after their defeat to Paris Saint-Germain (0-2) in the Club World Cup quarter-finals last July at the Mercedes-Benz Arena.
With this victory, Bayern Munich has further cemented its European record, becoming the first club in the history of the top five European leagues to record 16 straight wins since the start of the seasonβa unique streak that showcases the power of Vincent Kompany's squad.
Most analysts agree that Munich is marching confidently towards European glory, thanks to a perfect balance between attacking firepower and tactical discipline.
