MATCHDAY LIVE

The show will start 90 minutes before kick-off with hosts Cel Spellman and FG joined by guests Izzy Christiansen and Nedum Onuoha offering their pre-match thoughts ahead of the game.

The panel will offer expert insight before, during and after the game.

They will assess team news, run the rule over the first half at the break and assess the result as the final whistle blows.

As well as that, you’ll also get live text updates throughout the day from our journalists at the stadium.

Alistair Mann and co-commentator Kit Symonds will guide fans through proceedings with live audio commentary on CITY+.

They’ll paint the pictures with words as Enzo Maresca’s men look to start the new campaign with three points.

There’s an extended post-match show this season, with a bumper 60 minutes of analysis from our panel of experts as well as reaction from the manager and the match’s headline-makers.

A comprehensive match report, highlights and Full Match Replay (via CITY+) will follow across the evening.

On CITY+ meanwhile, there’ll be our popular full-match replay as well as our extended highlights offering which features the best 20 minutes of action from the game.

OPPOSING MANAGER

Pierre Sage is yet to face the Blues since joining Palace in the summer.

The Frenchman joined following a successful season with RC Lens and went on to help them secure the club’s first-ever Coupe de France trophy and achieve qualification for the UEFA Champions League for just the fourth time in their history.

PREVIOUS MEETING

City dominated from start to finish - save for the odd Palace attack - and went into the break with goals from Antoine Semenyo and Omar Marmoush giving Pep Guardiola’s side a two-goal lead.

Savinho added a late third to make it 3-0 in what was an enjoyable evening for a City team who were then looking forward an FA Cup final against Chelsea.
