CAF Champions League: Rahimo FC fall at home to ES Tunis

In the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League, ES Tunis clinched a valuable 1-0 victory over Rahimo FC on October 18 at the 4 August Stadium in Ouagadougou.

ES Tunis took a major step toward the group stage with their 1-0 win against Burkina Faso’s Rahimo FC this Saturday in Ouagadougou.

The Tunisians netted the only goal of the match in the 45th minute through Florian Danho. The four-time champions asserted their dominance throughout the encounter. Rahimo responded in the final ten minutes, but the experience of ES Tunis allowed them to hold onto their lead until the final whistle.

Previously, ES Tunis had advanced to the second round in convincing fashion, defeating AS Fan 3-0 in the first leg and 4-1 in the return fixture.

As for the first qualifying round, Rahimo edged past AS Manga Sport in a penalty shootout after goalless draws in both legs.The return leg is scheduled for October 24 in Tunisia. Despite the challenging task ahead, Rahimo FC will be aiming to make history with their first-ever appearance in the CAF Champions League group stage.
