Nothing has been decided yet in Group D in the race for a spot in the quarter-finals of the 2025-2026 CAF Confederation Cup.

With 10 points to their name, South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs FC currently lead the group, ahead of Egypt’s Zamalek (8 points) and Al Masry (7 points).

The South African giants only need a draw against Zamalek to secure their spot in the next round, though even a loss wouldn’t automatically eliminate them—unless Al Masry beat ZESCO UFC.

Zamalek, meanwhile, are under pressure—they must win to keep their campaign alive. Any other result could cost them qualification, especially if Al Masry claim victory over ZESCO UFC.

As for Al Masry, their path is more complicated. They need a win against their Zambian opponents and must also hope for a favorable set of circumstances—a Zamalek slip-up or a better goal difference than Kaizer Chiefs FC.
