In Cagliari’s victory yesterday afternoon against Roma, Rossoblu midfielder Michael Folorunsho was involved in a heated argument with Hermoso following contact in the penalty area between Ghilardi and Palestra.
The very fact that it all happened in front of cameras suggests the issue may not be over yet.
His words have already made the rounds on social media, where the former Napoli player later apologized: “I only saw the footage again after the match. I can only apologize to anyone who was offended.”
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, which is currently on newsstands, Folorunsho now risks being penalized via TV evidence.
It must be said that it will be important to determine whether the referee reported something in the report, or whether there is audio in addition to the images circulating.
The issue dragged on until the final whistle, as when, after a challenge between Mancini and Folorunsho, the latter was left on the ground.
The Rossoblu continued to pass the ball, then Palestra attempted to clear it out, but Hermoso pounced on the ball, looking for a counterattack, resulting in a melee on the pitch.
