Chelsea faced off against Newcastle United at St. James’ Park earlier today as they hoped to earn a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Blues made a poor start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the fourth minute when Nick Woltemade got his name on the scoresheet. Woltemade doubled his side’s advantage in the 20th minute as Enzo Maresca’s men went into the half-time break 2-0 down on the scoreline.
Reece James got a goal back for the West London club with an excellent strike in the 49th minute. Joao Pedro equalised for Chelsea in the 66th minute as the Blues ended up securing a hard-fought 2-2 draw away from home.
Let’s take a look at how each Chelsea player fared during the clash against the Magpies.
Sanchez made a few important saves at the back, but still ended up conceding two goals this afternoon.
