Riccardo Calafiori scored his first goal on his full debut for Arsenal in their entertaining 2-2 draw with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City on Sunday, but there are 11 other Italian players who managed to score faster in the Premier League.
Calafiori netted after 22 minutes of his full Premier League debut against Manchester City. Including his substitute appearances against Aston Villa and Brighton, Calafiori took 66 minutes of action to get his first league goal in England.
The record for the fastest Italian to score in the Premier League is held by a current international in Sandro Tonali, who took just six minutes of his first appearance, opening the scoring for Newcastle in a 5-1 victory over Aston Villa last summer.
Giuseppe Rossi is next on the list, taking just nine minutes of his first Premier League appearance to score in a 3-1 victory over Sunderland back in 2005.
Manolo Gabbiadini was just three minutes behind him with his 12th minute strike for Southampton in an eventual 3-1 loss to West Ham in the 2016-17 season.
Fourth and fifth place on the list are claimed by Lorenzo Amoruso, who took 17 minutes of his Premier League debut to score for Blackburn, and Rolando Bianchi, who took 18 minutes to get off the mark for Manchester City in 2007.
