In the 27th minute Calero put Cultural 2-1 up, and moments later, still in the 27th minute, Guruzeta levelled it at 2-2.

Cultural were then awarded a penalty. Another spot-kick was given for a foul on Nico Williams.

Paredes was sent off during the half. A Cultural goal was subsequently ruled out.

A second penalty for a foul on Nico Williams capped a breathless first period.
