OL’s loanees shone this weekend, with Duje Caleta-Car lifting silverware, Enzo Molebe scoring, and Alejandro Gomes Rodriguez impressing for Annecy.

Caleta-Car, on loan at Real Sociedad, started as they beat Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey final, 2-2 then 4-3 on penalties. The 29-year-old clinched his first title since 2018 with RB Salzburg, having lost the 2024 Coupe de France final with OL to PSG.

At Montpellier, Molebe’s rise continues. After weeks rebuilding fitness and impacting from the bench, the 18-year-old has earned a starting berth since early April. On Friday against Grenoble he drove through the middle and curled into the top corner to make it 1-0, underlining the belief of the Montpellier crowd and coach Zoumana Camara.

At Annecy, Alejandro Gomes Rodriguez had been criticised for individualism and inconsistency, yet he is now making an impact as a substitute who usually gets around 30 minutes. After helping to create a goal last week against Guingamp, he recorded his first assist in a 5-1 win at Nancy.

“He is very pleasant to manage because he is very curious, very eager, he already has a big personality and all the characteristics to build a fine career. But he will need time like the others. He will be strong mentally, he does not doubt. The flaw is that he is a little too demanding. You get the impression it is the end of the world when he misses something,” said Laurent Guyot to Le Dauphiné Libéré.
