Santos drew 1-1 with São Paulo at Estádio Urbano Caldeira on Wednesday, earning the hosts their first point of the Brasileirão season while the visitors remain unbeaten.
In the fifth minute of first half stoppage time, Zé Rafael steered a left-footed finish into the bottom left to put Peixe ahead.
After the restart, substitute Lucas Moura changed the tempo and crossed for Jonathan Calleri to glance a header into the bottom right (66.).
Gabriel Brazão produced smart stops to deny Damián Bobadilla and later Moura. At the other end, Rafael kept out efforts from Adonis Frias and Álvaro Barreal before the break.
Late on, João Felipe Schmidt Urbano and João Basso headed presentable chances off target as Peixe pushed for a winner.
