Algeria will compete in Group E at the Africa Cup of Nations – CAN 2025 alongside Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea, and Sudan.

The Fennecs are the natural favorites in this group, having lifted the trophy twice, in 1990 and 2019.

Riyad Mahrez and his teammates will make their 20th CAN appearance, following participations in 1968, 1980, 1982, 1984, 1986, 1988, 1990, 1992, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2010, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021, and 2023.
