The Ivorian national team is ramping up preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to take place in Morocco from December 21 to January 18.
The Elephants, defending champions, will compete in Group F alongside Cameroon, Mozambique, and Gabon.
During a press conference held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at the headquarters of the Ivorian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) unveiled the team’s preparation schedule ahead of the tournament.
The squad, led by head coach Emerse Fae, will hold its final training camp in Marbella, Andalusia (Spain), from December 10 to 20.
Federation president Yacine Idriss Diallo specified that Ivory Coast will play two friendly matches in Spain before heading to Marrakech on December 20, 2025. He also confirmed that the final squad list will be announced on December 9.
Ivory Coast has participated in 25 editions of the Africa Cup of Nations, reaching the final five times—in 1992, 2006, 2012, 2015, and 2023.
The Elephants have lifted the trophy three times: in 1992, 2015, and most recently in 2023.
In total, the Ivorian side has played 106 matches in this competition, recording 48 wins, 30 draws, and 28 defeats. They have scored 152 goals and conceded 111.
