Krépin Diatta

Just two days before Senegal’s semi-final clash against Egypt in this CAN 2025, Krépin Diatta has revealed his ultimate goal with the national team.

Crowned African champions for the very first time in 2022, Senegal had to do so without Krépin Diatta. The player was forced to withdraw due to injury. It was a bittersweet memory for Diatta—happy for his country’s triumph, yet deprived of the joy of experiencing that historic moment on the pitch. Now, as Senegal prepare for the CAN 2025 semi-finals in Morocco, he’s determined to fill that void and etch his name into continental history.

“Winning a trophy with my country has always been a childhood dream. I missed the 2022 edition because of an injury, but I was immensely happy for Senegal. The most important thing is always the nation. I have lost finals, I have missed out, and I sincerely hope that this time will be the one.” he said in an interview with RTS.
