Egypt and Mohamed Salah will wrap up their CAN 2025 campaign tomorrow, Saturday, in the third-place playoff against Nigeria. Mohamed Salah will then return to Liverpool. The Pharaoh and the Reds parted ways on tense terms, but manager Arne Slot is eager to have the Egyptian international back in his squad.
"I'm happy to have Mo back. He has been so important for this club and for me. I'm delighted about his return, and even if I had 15 forwards, I would still be glad to see Mo again. I'll be happy to have him after his important match tomorrow," the Dutchman said during Friday's press conference.
The Egyptian could be back in Liverpool's squad for their Champions League clash with Olympique de Marseille next Wednesday.
