A Canada supporter dropped her phone during a Mexican wave at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, the moment captured on the international broadcast during their World Cup round of 32 tie with South Africa.

According to Le Progres, it unfolded early in the second half as the wave swept around the ground, turning celebration into dismay in a split second.

With the global feed focused on her, she rose to keep the wave going, only to see the device slip from her hands.

Seated just behind glass panels, she could only watch as it dropped to the other side. There was no immediate word on the phone’s condition.

Canada had late joy as Stephen Eustaquio struck in the final seconds for a 1-0 win.

Jesse Marsch’s side advanced to the last 16 for the first time in their history.
