Group A action continues in Copa America 2024 as Canada square off against Chile this weekend at Inter&Co Stadium.

After falling 2-0 to Argentina and Lionel Messi in the opening match of the competition, Canada bounced with a 1-0 triumph over Peru thanks to Jonathan David's 74th-minute strike. Should Canada hold on for a draw vs Chile, they just might be able to sneak into the quarter-finals of Copa America.

Chile have struggled to get things going in their first two matches at the competition, settling for a 0-0 draw with Peru before falling 1-0 to Argentina. With their backs against the wall, anything other than three points would more than likely see their Copa America campaign come to an end.

Canada have no injuries to report on, but they do have three players who could face a one-match suspension if they receive a another yellow card vs Chile. The likes of Ismael Kone, Richie Laryea and Derek Cornelius will all have to be careful against Chile as they're sitting on one yellow card each.

Winger Diego Valdes is set to miss the contest with a foot injury that was sustained in the 0-0 draw vs Peru. Valdes was unable to see out the entire match and was substituted off at halftime.

Chile also have the following players on one yellow card and one booking away from a one-match suspension should they qualify for the quarter-finals: Alexis Sanchez, Erick Pulgar, Victor Davila, Gabriel Suazo and Mauricio Isla.
