The future of Joao Cancelo has been a subject of much discussion this week, with the defender on the verge of leaving Al Hilal.
Barcelona have emerged as one of the potential destinations, with the player himself pushing heavily for a return to Catalonia.
Barça, though, have not been able to make up their mind about Cancelo, particularly in the wake of the club’s economic condition.
In the background, Inter Milan have been making moves and are reportedly prepared to bring the defender back to Serie A.
A recent report from Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Cancelo has asked for a grace period of at least a day or two as he looks to hand Barcelona some more time to reconsider.

The right-back’s priority is to return to Catalonia, and although Inter Milan are ready to acquire his services, the player wants to give time to Barcelona.
The report adds that Inter and Al Hilal already have an agreement in place for the sale of Cancelo, who appeared in 45 competitive matches for the Saudi Arabian outfit.
With the World Cup just around the corner, it appears Cancelo is keen on returning to top-flight football in his bid to become a regular for the Portuguese national team.
As for Barcelona, a move for Cancelo remains unlikely as the club have other priorities at the moment, while his salary would also pose a challenge.
Barcelona were said to hold a key meeting surrounding their pursuit of the Portuguese international today. But everything suggests the player could be on his way to Inter Milan in this ongoing January transfer window.
