Khan, of Croxton Grove, and Haydar, of Fenhurst Road, Birmingham, carried out offences across the West Midlands between December 2022 and October 2024. Khan admitted involvement in 98 incidents, Haydar in 20, targeting parts including headlights, bumpers, mirrors and bonnets.

Owners returned to find vehicles stripped and immobilised, disrupting daily life. Concerns from Birmingham City supporters about matchday crime around St Andrew's at Knighthead Park prompted joint work with the club to protect fans and reassure residents.

Investigators from the Vehicle Crime Team spent over three years on the case, executing multiple warrants and arrests, trawling hundreds of hours of CCTV and conducting forensic work to identify the pair.

The men were described as meticulous, planning thefts and boasting online by filming and posting images with stolen parts and stripped cars. Patrols continue around Birmingham City fixtures, with stewards and partners helping to deter offenders and improve safety.
