Carabao Cup quarter-final draw: Chelsea travel to Cardiff

The Carabao Cup quarter-final draw took place shortly after an entertaining evening of football with a place at Wembley just two games away.

After being one of only two home teams to advance, Arsenal got another home draw this time against Crystal Palace who defeated a young Liverpool side at Anfield.

Championship side Cardiff City, the only team left outside of the top flight, will welcome Chelsea to Wales after the Blues had a nervy end to their win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

After defeating the mighty Grimsby Town, Brentford will have a very difficult kind of opposition as they travel to take on Manchester City.

And finally, Newcastle United – the other team to win in their own ground like the Gunners – will once again have home advantage when they face a Fulham team who needed penalties to defeat Wycombe Wanderers.

Games for the fifth round of the competition will begin in the week of December 15th.
