This comes amid confirmation that star midfielder Eduardo Camavinga is closing on an imminent return to the pitch.

France international Camavinga, for his part, is yet to take to the pitch in a competitive setting this season.

As much comes after the 21-year-old suffered a knee injury during a training session in the buildup to Real Madrid’s European Super Cup showdown with Atalanta last month.

Camavinga’s absence has been sorely felt in Los Blancos’ engine room, amid the ongoing efforts of Carlo Ancelotti and co. to account for the exit of Toni Kroos.

All associated with the Spanish champions, in turn, will no doubt be excited to hear of the latest news regarding Camavinga’s recovery.

Speaking in a press conference ahead of his side’s La Liga meeting with Espanyol on Saturday, Carlo Ancelotti was this afternoon asked for an update on his midfield starlet’s wellbeing.

And Real Madrid’s headmaster went on to explain:

“Camavinga will start training with the team next week. He feels good. He’s very important because we will be able to rotate the midfielders more.”
