Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has begun putting into place plans for a sidelined member of his midfield ranks for the club’s upcoming Champions League return leg meeting with Arsenal.
That’s according to Marca, who point towards Dani Ceballos as the player in question.
Midfielder Ceballos has for his part not taken to the pitch since all the way back in late February, owing to a hamstring injury.
The Spanish international marked his return to training ahead of schedule earlier this week, giving rise to hope of a potential place in Real Madrid’s squad to face Arsenal on Tuesday night.
This ultimately did not prove to be the case, with Ceballos having not been called up to face his former club.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from Valdebebas is anything to go by, then the 28-year-old is not far from a return to competitive action.
As per a report from Marca, in fact:
‘Carlo Ancelotti is starting to make plans with him for the return leg of the Champions League match against Arsenal and the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona.’
