Carlo Ancelotti to leave Real Madrid star out of first Brazil squad | OneFootball

A headline member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid will not be included in Carlo Ancelotti’s maiden Brazil squad.

That’s according to journalist Tati Mantovani, who points towards Rodrygo as the player in question.

Frontman Rodrygo, for his part, is of course fresh off an altogether difficult close to the campaign.

Owing to a combination of fitness problems, speculation surrounding his future and a simple lack of form, the 24-year-old has found the net just once since all the way back in January.

And such woes, it is claimed, look set to see Rodrygo miss out on an international call-up later this month.

As per the aforementioned Tati Mantovani, cited by Madrid Zone on ‘X’, Carlo Ancelotti does not intend to call upon his long-time Real Madrid standout in his first squad as Brazilian national team head coach.

This comes as a result of not only physical, but also mental exhaustion.
