Former FC Porto European champion Carlos Alberto, 41, has been expelled from his condominium in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, after a Brazilian court ruled he engaged in repeated antisocial behaviour.

According to O Jogo, between 2019 and 2023 he was linked to 52 incidents involving parties, shouting, insults, assaults, threats and damage to neighbours’ property, as well as alleged sexual orgies on a balcony and urine left in corridors.

The case was brought by neighbours in 2024, with video evidence showing him kicking and destroying his ex-girlfriend’s car.

In court, Carlos Alberto admitted excesses at parties, said he was being persecuted, denied the alleged orgies and sought compensation for moral damages. He can still appeal the ruling.

Over the years he paid around 3,600 euros in fines imposed by the condominium.

The judgment allows him to keep ownership of the property but forbids him from living there, with a 18,000-euro penalty if he returns as a resident.
