Carlos Miguel rues Palmeiras missing title: ‘We dropped key points’

Palmeiras came out on top against Atlético-MG in the clash between the runners-up of the Libertadores and the Brasileirão, winning 3-0 at Arena MRV. And thus, Verdão lost the trophy once again to the team from Rio, this time in the Brazilian Championship, as Flamengo defeated Ceará 1-0 at Maracanã and sealed the title. After the match, goalkeeper Carlos Miguel lamented the lost trophy.

– We know we made mistakes, we failed to earn points in matches where it was important to do so. We have to be aware of that. It’s part of the process, it’s about rebuilding, lifting our heads. We finished in second place, we fought until the end. Congratulations to the champions.
