Ricardo Horta is nearing a return and could be involved when Braga visit Benfica at Estádio da Luz on Monday.
According to Glorioso 1904, the Braga captain is continuing his recovery from the injury sustained against Freiburg in the first leg of the Europa League semi-finals. He was on the bench for the match in Germany, a step that increases the chance of minutes against Benfica. Carlos Vicens is tracking his progress closely.
On the Benfica side, Tomás Araújo has overcome a muscle problem and may be available after several weeks out. The defender’s return is a boost for José Mourinho amid other doubts in the squad.
Araújo trained with the first team at Seixal. The Special One could pair him with António Silva, with Nicolás Otamendi suspended for one match.
The Liga Portugal Betclic fixture, part of the 33rd round, is set for Monday, 11 May, with kick-off at 20:15 at Estádio da Luz.
